Jan Zilinsky studies political economy and social media. He is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Politics at New York University, Data Fellow at NYU’s College of Arts and Sciences, and Research Associate at the Social Media and Political Participation Lab.

Current research topics are:

  • Do citizens remember issue-based promises from election campaigns?
  • What aspects of the economy are voters paying attention to?
  • What can we learn about political mobilization of cultural elites from text data?
